Claude Code + Render
Deploy and manage your Render apps from Claude Code.
Claude Code can combine local code changes with live Render service, deploy, log, metric, and database data.
Quick start
-
Install Claude Code, then start it in your project.
-
Install the Render plugin in Claude Code:
The plugin includes Render skills, commands, an assistant, and the hosted Render MCP server.
-
Connect with OAuth. The first time Claude uses a Render MCP tool, approve the browser prompt. No Render API key is required.
-
Verify the connection. Ask Claude to run
list_workspaces, choose a workspace if needed, then try "Deploy this project to Render."
MCP and authentication
/plugin install renderThe plugin configures https://mcp.render.com/mcp with a pre-registered OAuth client. For CI or another non-interactive environment, configure the server manually with RENDER_API_KEY:
See the MCP server docs for the full authentication and tool reference. The Render plugin documents optional CLI-backed workflows.
